Who ranks for “painted paper wallpaper reviews”

Painted Paper (formerly Spoonflower and similar brands) wallpaper receives mixed reviews, often praised for its vibrant, stylish designs and luxury feel, but frequently criticized for visible, white, untrimmed, or frayed edges that create noticeable seams. While many users report it is durable and easy to install, others experience issues with pattern matching, stretching, and difficulty with the peel-and-stick application.

Key Takeaways from Reviews

Design & Quality: Patterns are highly praised for being beautiful, modern, and "luxury-looking," with some options providing a durable, textured finish. Edge/Seam Issues: A recurring complaint is that the edges are not perfectly cut, leaving white or frayed lines that make seams very noticeable. Application & Installation: While many find it easy to apply, some report that the paper stretches, making it hard to align, and that it may require extra adhesive or a marker to cover seams. Batch Variations: Colors can vary between batches, so ordering enough for the entire project at once is essential. Durability: The heavy-duty options are noted for being very durable, even in high-traffic areas.

Pros

Stunning, unique, and trendy designs. High-quality, thick paper. Easy to install for beginners. Good customer service, though sometimes slow.

Cons

Visible, white, or frayed edges. Difficult to align/match, especially with complex patterns. Expensive compared to paint. Possible, though rare, issues with bubbling or peeling.

Tips for Success

Order extra, and ensure all rolls are from the same batch. Use a black or colored marker on the edges before hanging to hide seams. Use a plastic smoother to avoid damaging the paper.
