Apple - Featured Albums: Joey Valence & Brae - HYPERYOUTH

Joey Valence & Brae are an irreverent American rap duo with a sound that marries the percussion and samples-forward style of the Beastie Boys with lyrics focused on '90s pop culture and Gen Z sensibilities. They scored a viral hit in 2021 with the infectious, retro-rap party-starter "Crank It Up" and released their full-length debut, Punk Tactics, in 2023, with No Hands and Hyperyouth appearing in 2024 and 2025, respectively. AllMusic Staff Pick – November 18, 2025

Jayda G

DJ-Kicks

May 14, 2021

Club/Dance

Jayda G's first commercially released mix followed nearly a decade of standout sets for Boiler Room, Discwoman, Resident Advisor, and more -- not to mention a Grammy nomination for her single "Both of Us," a 2020 home stereo dance party staple. Like many of her sets, her DJ-Kicks volume warms up with post-disco and jazz-funk favorites, then progresses with purely electronic tracks from scuffed-up house to Detroit techno. Jayda's own "All I Need," a gorgeous, wistful vocal house tune, ranks among her best songs.
