## Entry Information

- ### Entry Information

It takes only a few minutes to enter our digital competition. For each entry, you will be asked to fill in a URL or upload a preview image of your work. Since each entry is judged on its own merits, in most cases, no accompanying materials or explanations are necessary.

Each entry will have a box for permission to display the entry in the winners list and website gallery. If permission is not granted, the entry will be seen only by the judges.
- ### Entries

To submit a web design entry, you need:

- The URL for your entry or a file upload in JPEG or PNG format (file size limit 10 MB).
- Contact name and email and the name of your organization.
- The title of your entry and your role in developing the website.
- Payment method: We accept all major credit cards and debit cards.

Platinum winning entrants who submit digital entries online will have the opportunity to have their work displayed in our online winner’s gallery or blog if they grant permission on the online entry form.
- ### Eligibility

The 2025 competition is open to all individuals, companies, and organizations involved in producing any type of project involving digital media. To be eligible, an entry must have been produced after January 1, 2024.
- ### Entry Fees

The fee for individual entries is $65 for each submission or you have the option to purchase an annual membership for unlimited award submissions for $450. You can cancel the annual membership at any time. Your membership will be active through the end of your term but won’t renew automatically for the next term.
- ### Categories

We currently accept entries in the web design. We will expand to videos in the near future.
- ### Judging

Entries are judged at random and independently, so they are not compared directly to other entries in their categories. There is no preset number of winners in a category. There are no lengthy essays to persuade the judges, so all work is evaluated solely on its own quality, creativity, and resourcefulness. Judges base their decisions on learned perceptions of creative excellence rather than an entrant’s explanation of an entry’s value.

Since there can be a tremendous variance of resources from one entrant to another, and from one piece to another, the perceived budget is taken into consideration in the judging. Based on their work experiences, judges have an expectation for each individual entry. For example, a student-produced project is not held to the same expectation as a piece produced by a Madison Avenue agency for a Fortune 500 company.
- ### Deadlines

The final deadline for this year’s competition is December 31, 2025.
- ### Terms of Use

Digital Excellence Awards recognizes that many of the entries are internal or proprietary in nature, or are done for the government or another company. Therefore, unless you grant permission for your entries to be displayed in our winner’s gallery or blog, only the judges will see your work.

Entries will not be returned unless special arrangements are made. Immediately after judging, each hard copy entry is destroyed. Each electronic entry without granted permission to be displayed is deleted. No entrant information is sold, traded, made available to a third party, or used for any other purpose.
