Keighley Road has re-opened from Friday 18 July. Normal bus service has restarted. There will be temporary lights in place until the work is completed.

A Hosepipe Ban has been imposed by Yorkshire Water, after a seriously lack of rainfall this year. It came into effect today Friday, 11 July 2025. The ban is expected to continue until winter. The Yorkshire hosepipe ban is the first in the UK for 2025.

Five years on from Storm Ciara On 9 February 2020, Storm Ciara caused 10 miles of damage across Calderdale. As the 4th major flood event in the area within 8 years, Storm Ciara caused flooding in around 1,200 houses and business properties. Storm Dennis and subsequent heavy rain further impacted the borough. Read more

John Morrison remembered - *updated*
John Morrison, who died in May aged 73, was one of the earliest contributors to the HebWeb. Station booking office closure demo The news of proposed closure of the booking office at Hebden Bridge station has provoked outrage.
