At Neil Squire, we help break those barriers down by helping you access employment, technology, and the tools you need to live your life to the fullest. ### Clubs That Care Helps Worlds UNBound Teach Hands-On STEM Skills While Helping People With Disabilities August 7, 2025 With help from funding from the Clubs That Care initiative of Neil Squire’s Makers Making Change program, the team at Worlds UNBound have been engaging their summer camp participants in assistive device builds, allowing students to get hands-on STEM learning opportunities all while making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities in their community. ### Miro: An Accessible Workspace App August 6, 2025 Miro is one of many of workspace apps, but it deserves some special attention today because of how seriously they take accessibility. The app is constantly being tested and audited by screen reader users to ensure that the app is as accessible as possible. It is also packed with helpful accessibility features. ### WorkBC Assistive Technology Services Helps Mitra Get the Hearing Aids She Needs in Her Job Search August 6, 2025 Mitra is currently looking for work, and she has hearing loss. Her WorkBC Centre referred her to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services for help funding the hearing aids she needs for the job search process and in her future employment. She applied and was quickly approved. ### “The Empower3D Program Is the Best Thing That Has Happened to Me” August 5, 2025 Matthew was born with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, which causes him difficulties in processing information. With a passion for fitness, diet, and health, he joined our Empower3D program wanting to work in a role involving food. ### We Have Solutions! – Episode 38: Miro App, Mac Accessibility Updates, and Brain Computer Interfaces August 1, 2025 In this episode, we talk about the highly accessible Miro app, Mac accessibility updates, and finally, we explore the possibilities of assistive technology bolstered by brain-computer interfaces, including Neuralink’s recent milestone, where a patient was able to draw an image using only their brain. ## Stay in touch Our newsletter contains stories, successes, current events, and ongoing initiatives.
