*And now a brief chat with a new supporter, Joe F.!*

**Joe, hey, it’s Rosecrans. Thanks so much for supporting! When did you start reading TMN?** I started visiting TMN after reading *Everything Now* by Rosecrans Baldwin in 2021. I thought, “who’s this dude with the most LA name ever”—and you’re not even an LA guy! Anyway, that search led me to The Morning News. I’ve been reading ever since.

**Haha, it’s true! Or maybe I’m an Angeleno by adoption. Anyway, may I ask, what about TMN works for you?** So much of the internet we grew up with is disappearing behind walled gardens, and it’s becoming harder to stumble into interesting content (miss you, web rings). TMN scratches that itch for me and expands my personal echo chamber a little bit every time I read it.

**That’s great to hear. Well, thanks again. Any particular reason you decided to support today?** I read the interview with Will H. a few days ago and was immediately filled with shame that he gave me a shoutout and I’m not even a supporter. I had a nightmare that you two checked your subscriber rolls after reading his and were like, “oh that’s weird ’cause we don't have a Joe on file...” so now you do. And we can all sleep better. Including you, Will.
